What was your path to becoming a Licensed professional Counselor?
As a licensed counselor, my journey began with a deep curiosity about human behavior and a strong desire to help others. Prior to psychology, I taught conversational English and managed a clothing alterations business, honing problem-solving and client interaction skills. An internship at a women’s center reinforced my commitment to counseling, witnessing its profound impact on victims. I have a master’s in counseling, specialize as an addictions specialist, and have training in CBT and mindfulness. In my career, I’ve worked in diverse settings, tailoring approaches to each client’s needs. Witnessing clients overcome addiction and embrace self-forgiveness, self-love, and freedom from toxic relationships is immensely rewarding. I specialize in counseling for alcohol abuse, anxiety, and toxic relationships, focusing on the mind-body connection and mindfulness to empower clients in their transformative journeys.
What should someone know about working with you?
When you work with me, you can expect a compassionate and understanding approach. I believe in easy setup processes, making appointments, and initial paperwork for a valued client experience. I will validate your experiences and challenges while helping you develop greater self-awareness, improved thinking, effective actions, and thoughtful choices. In our sessions, I will actively challenge you when necessary, empowering and encouraging positive changes that help embrace personal growth. Additionally, I can provide valuable resources between our sessions, such as videos, recordings, apps, handouts, or book recommendations, to further support your progress. I work well with individuals who are open to embracing change, embarking on a healing journey, and developing a strong sense of self. Whether you’re seeking to heal from challenging relationships, traumatic experiences, or addiction struggles, I will help you navigate through life’s obstacles and improve the quality of your life.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?

My passion for understanding human behavior and the mind drives me to pursue classes and research new therapy methods. Staying current with trends and findings allows me to bring innovative twists to traditional therapeutic ideas in my counseling sessions. By continuously educating myself, I provide effective and compassionate care, ensuring my interventions are up-to-date and insightful.
